    Death Takes Lon Stegner

    Lon V. Stegner, resident of Nampa for the past 32 years, died at a local hospital Monday evening after an illness of several months.

    A retired railroad man, he had resided at 512 Fourth Ave. So. He was born Dec. 6, 1882 in Boonville, Mo., and came to Nampa from Kemmerer, Wyo. in 1918. He has been an employee of the P.F.E. railroad shops here since 1925, retiring in 1948.

    His wife, Fanny Stegner, preceded him in death Oct. 18, 1949. He was a member of the Junior Pacific Old Timers club, Neighbors of Woodcraft, the Nampa Eagles lodge and the St. Paul's Catholic church.

    He has no survivors, Funeral services will be held in the St. Paul's Catholic church Friday morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. Father Thomas Carey officiating. Burial will be in Cloverdale Memorial cemetery and the graveside services will be held by the Nampa Eagles lodge.

    Rosary will be recited at Walker's funeral chapel Thursday at 8 p.m.
