John Keith Lammers, 63, of Boonville, left us on July 4, 2018 after many days of being surrounded by his brothers and sisters in Boone Hospital.
A "celebration of life" for John will be held at Howard Funeral Home in Boonville, on Sunday, July 15, 2018. Visitation and memorial will be 2-4 p.m. Inurnment will be in the family plot in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
"Johnny Keith" was the sixth son of Gilbert and Edna (Widel) Lammers and was born in Boonville on Sept. 9, 1954. He lived in Boonville, Marshall, Higginsville, Sedalia and moved back to Boonville in December of 1993. While living in Boonville, he was supported by the loving care of Unlimited Opportunities' staff.
Despite the various moves, John was always "at home" if he had his "morningbcup of coffee". He worked at Boonslick Industries for many years,
doing assembly work and taking charge of break-time refreshments.
Upon retirement, John's days were filled with his favorite friends and movies at UOI Day Program. He was also a fan of UOI weekly field trips, yearly summer camp, vacation trips, and watching game shows. One of his favorite activities was going to MU football games with his brothers, Tom and Wayne. Whether MU was winning or losing, John loved to loudly cheer them on.
His gentleness and loving ways will be sadly missed by many loved ones.
John's parents preceded him in death and he is survived by eight brothers and sisters: Gary (Barbara) Lammers, Wayne (Sharon) Lammers, Priscilla (Tom) Nick, Mike (Theresa) Lammers, Tom (Gail) Lammers, Phil (Sarah) Lammers, Susan (Dan) Bowlin, and Nick (Ginny) Lammers. His family also includes many nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins plus all of his family at Unlimited Opportunities, Inc.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Unlimited Opportunities.18. Lammers, Susan (13.Edna3, 2.Lewis2, 1.John1) Notes:
