Notes - Myrtle Maye Duvall, Maryville, MO, formerly of Excelsior Springs, MO, died March 2, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital, Maryville. She was born November 28, 1918 to William C. and Maude (Smith) Hunnicutt in Gravelly, AR. Myrtle graduated from the Gravelly Schools. In 1945 she married Lonnie Thoma Duvall in Kansas City, MO. She and her husband owned and operated Duvall s Appliance Store in Excelsior Springs for many years. Mr. Duvall died in 1973.
Mrs. Duvall was a member of the Barbee Memorial Presbyterian Church in Excelsior Springs.
In addition to her husband, Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ralph Coy, Owen, Cleatus, and Bruce Hunnicutt and an infant brother; and sisters, Naomi Humphreys, Vivian Wathias, Pearl Fowler and Allie Lee Hunnicutt.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Neese, Brentwood, TN and Ruth Ann Freddie Wells, Albany, MO; two sons, Lonnie P. Duvall, Austin, TX and David L. Duvall, of Maryville, MO; two brothers, Wayne Hunnicutt, Harvey, AR and Leon Hunnicutt, Danville, AR; one sister, Lois Douthit, Carlisle, AR; eight grandchildren, Gordon Wells, Alexander Wells, Robert Duvall, Pell Duvall, Benjamin Neese, Robert Neese, Kevin Duvall and Timothy Duvall.
Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville. Visitation will also be from 9-10 a.m. with Memorial services at 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, at Barbee Memorial Presbyterian Church, Excelsior Springs.
