Notes - Agnes was the daughter of John Gaynsford. She married Richard Wakehurst and had two daughters, but was widowed at a young age. She then married Sir John Culpepper and had one daughter. She is not mentioned in her father’s will, but a later court case identifies her as a sister of John and William Gainsford. It involved the kidnapping of her two daughters, Margery and Elizabeth Wakehurst by her second husband’s brothers, Nicholas and Richard Culpepper. Agnes died in October of 1450 and was buried in the churchyard of St. Mary the Virgin Church in Goudhurst on October 9, 1450.
