Notes - The Youngest child of Francis Yarnall, Mordecai, was born September 11, 1705, and in conjunction with his brother Amos, received a warrant for 500 acres in Willistown township, patents for the same being issued January 29, 1738, ten years later, he removed to Philadelphia. He was a noted Minister of the Society of Friends and his descendants were all men and women of prominence in public affairs.
In 1769 he removed to his native Chester County, settling in Springfield where he died May 17, 1782. He was three times married, first in 1733 to Catherine Meredith whose death took place in 1741. August 8, 1745 he married Mary Roberts, daughter of Edward Roberts, May of Philadelphia from 1739 to 1740. Following the death of his second wife, he married March 3, 1768 Ann Maris, widow of Joseph Maris.
