Jerry Wayne Gerhardt, 61, of Boonville passed away Saturday afternoon March 7, 2020 at University Hospital in Columbia surrounded by his family.
Visitation for Jerry will be 9 to 11 A.M. Saturday March 14 at Howard Funeral Home with funeral services at 11 A.M. Burial will follow in the St. Johns United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Jerry Wayne Gerhardt was born March 3, 1959 in Boonville, MO., the son of Edgar Gerhardt and Dottie Kosfeld Gerhardt. He graduated Boonville High School in 1977. Jerry married Samantha Buchanan on August 26, 2000 at St. Johns United Church of Christ in Billingsville, MO. Jerry loved to attend classic car shows, going fishing and traveling. Jerry was a truck driver that worked hard and spent a lot of time away from home, but he was a family man and spent any spare time with his family, grand babies and pets that time allowed. He was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ and a member of the NRA.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Dottie. He is survived by his wife, Samantha of the home, son, Jason (Samie) Gerhardt of Boonville, MO., Daughters, Melanie (James) Scalia of Boonville, MO., and Haileigh (Patrick) Fields of Freeburg, MO. Also surviving is his sister, Janice (Steve) Cooper of Lake of the Ozarks and his grandchildren, Toby Nash, Cody Gerhardt, Roman Fields, Maddison Scalia and Harper Scalia. He will be dearly missed by his truck driving buddies over the years.
