House no. 12 on Tempel Street is a half-timbered house built in 1739 by Jakob Schlömer in the old town of Korbach [1]
history
1. Nothing is known about a possible previous building. The builder of today's house was the carpenter Jacob Schlömer (* in Goldhausen; [2] established July 15, 1748). He acquired civil rights in 1713 and married Anna Maria Blomen / Blume (~ 22.12.1691; † 02.04.1744), daughter of Jeremias Blomen and Anna Catharina Werner (Düdinghausen) on February 9 of the same year. Through this marriage in 1718 he also became the owner of his wife's parents' house, house no. 338 at the Tränketor.
2. In 1749 Sidonia Elisabeth Scipio (* November 3rd, 1708 in Rhena; † June 11th, 1760 in Usseln) acquired the house. She was the daughter of pastor Ludwig Scriba in Berndorf and Elisabeth Amalie Textor from Worms. On November 20, 1726 she married Christian Scipio (~ October 14, 1696 in Mengeringhausen; † September 16, 1748 in Twiste). He was the son of pastor Johann Franz Scipio in Korbach and Johanne Margarethe Bilstein. From 1724 to 1731 he was pastor in Rhena and from 1731 to 1748 in Twiste. Sidonia Elisabeth Scipio died in the house of her son-in-law, the pastor Henrich Ephraim Jungcurt.
