Notes - Daughter of Francis Elledge (1749-1844) and Charity Boone Elledge (1758-1853), who were of the durable pioneer group that left Pennsylvania seeking the freedom of the wilderness of North Carolina where they paused for a time before claiming the wilds of Kentucky. Her parents were born in North Carolina and died in a lovely settlement overlooking the Mississippi River in western Illinois.
Charity Boone Elledge was the daughter of Edward Boone (#8319109) and Martha Bryan Elledge (#42701142). Edward was six years younger than his brother, Daniel Boone. Martha Bryan was only one year younger than her sister, Rebecca Bryan Boone, wife of Daniel.
And so the mother of Nancy Elledge Phillips was the grand niece niece of both Daniel Boone & his wife, Rebecca.
