Gilles Du Puy married Alix de Bellecombe. Alix de Bellecombe, after the death of her husband, Gilles Du Puy, stated "I, rendered allegiance to the Dauphin King on May 4, 1397", for herself and for Artaud du Puy, her son.
Gilles Du Puy I and Alix de Bellecombe had: Gilles Du Puy II, Artaud Du Puy, who founded the branch of Bellecombe, Ainier/Eynier Du Puy, Francois Du Puy, Knight of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Commander of St. Paul near Romans, a city; Francois rendered allegiance to Louis Dauphin in the year 1446.
Gilles Roland Du Puy and Alix De Bellecombe had the following children: Giles Bellecombe Du Puy II, Artaud Bellecombe Du Puy was born in 1367, Ainier Bellecombe Du Puy, RD, was born in 1368, Guillaume Bellecombe Du Puy, RD, was born in 1370, Alleman Bellecombe Du Puy was born in 1372. Chevalier (Knight) Francois Bellecombe Du Puy was born in 1374, Chevalier (Knight) of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem.
Francois was present at Rome, at the assembly of the Knights of this order convoked by Pope Eugene IV and was made Deputy of the County of Auvergne, of which he was made First Grand Master in 1450; afterwards Francois was Baillif of Langot, after the death of the Grand Master, Jacques de Milly, fifth son, Guilliaume Du Puy, sixth son, Alleman Du Puy and Cecille Du Puy. Alleman married Ainarde De Roland in 1325. Ainarde de Roland was born about 1310. Alleman and Ainarde had the following children: Gilles Roland Du Puy, Ainer Roland Du Puy, born 1334 and Gerard Roland Du Puy, born in 1334.
Alleman de Puy, V, Knight, Lord of Pereins, Rochefort, Apifer, Ansenix and Conisrieu. Alleman espoused Ainarde de Roland, daughter of Nobel Gillet de Roland. They had Gilles or Gillet, Aineir or Eynier, who rendered allegiance to the Dauphine Gerald on November 19 , 1356, who was made cardinal under the title of St. Clements, Bishop of St. Carcassone and Abby of Marmonteir.
