“4 ) On 22 November Laurentz Rückert was married with Maiden Magdalena, daughter of Mr Johann Caspar Francke, pastor of this place.”
NOTE : Johann Caspar Francke is mentioned by Johann Werner Krauß, Johann Christoph Thomæ and the Pfarrerbuch Saschen-Coburg ( page 90 ). He was posted to Westhausen in 1655 as its pastor from Hellingen bei Heldburg. He was the son of Magister Michael Franck, the grandson of Joahnn Franck of Veilsdorf, and the son-in-law of Johann Friedrich Schwalb, the Mayor of Heldburg. Here’s page 90 of the Pfarrerbuch Saschen-Coburg — Johann Franck was his nephew :
Dr Beyer has some information about the parents of Anna Magdalena Rückert. Mr Friedrich Meinhof has mentioned only one marriage for Johann Caspar Franck. But Dr Beyer counted two. Miss Schwalb was the second wife but she was not the mother of our Magdalena, the wife of Laurentz Rückert. Her mother was the first wife but her maiden name is not known. Also, Heinrich Philipp von Heßberg was from an old and rich family of nobles so, to be able to get the time of day from him, Laurentz Rückert must have done very well in business. Anyway, here’s the information from Dr Beyer :

The marriage of Hans Rueckert ( L[ine]. 5 ), the Rev. Pastor Kost could not show, because the first pages of the marriage register are missing [ in 1877, not 2017 ] from the second volume of the parish registers. The mother of the lawful wife of Hans Rueckert Magdalena b. Franck was the daughter of Pastor Joh. Kasp. Franck and his first wife, who died on 23 October 1661, whom he had married as a pastor in Hellingen. The Susanna Magdalena ( Krauß, p. 441 ), later to become the wife of Mayor Ritter of Heldburg, on the other hand, was born on 15 July 1670, the pastor’s daughter from the second marriage with Marg. Schwalb, daughter of Mayor Schwalb of Heldburg ( Krauß, p. 441 ). “1670, 22 Novbr. Laurentius Rueckert was married with maiden Magdalena the daughter of Hr. Joh. Kaspar Franck, Pastor of this place”, writes the parish register ( cf. for Franck, Krauß, pp. 441 – 501 ). This Laurentz Rueckert, son-in-law of Pastor Franck, is evidently identical with Laurenz Rueckert, to whom Heinrich Philipp von Heßberg from Brünn [ Kreis Hildburghausen ] had sold in the middle of the seventeenth century sold stones, etc., from his estate in Westhausen at the going rate in the annual amount of 40 Simmern corn of Coburger measure for his lifetime ( see Krauß, loc. cit. p. 430 ), a clear proof of how well-respected and prosperous L. R. was.

Die Trauung von Hans Rueckert ( L. 5 ) konnte Hr. Pfarrer Kost nicht nachweisen, da von dem 2. Band des Kirchenb. beim Trauregister die ersten Blätter fehlen. Die Mutter der Ehefrau des Hans Rueckert Magdalena geb. Franck war die Tochter des Pfarrer Joh. Kasp. Franck und dessen erster am 23/10 1661 verstorbenen Ehefrau, welche er als Pfarrer zu Hellingen geheirathet hatte. Die Susanna Magdalena ( Kraus S. 441 ), nachmalige Frau des Burgemeisters Ritter zu Heldburg, dagegen ist erst den 15/7 1670 geb. und seine Tochter aus 2. Ehe mit Marg. Schwalb, Tochter des Burgemeisters Schwalb zu Heldburg ( Krauß 441 ). „1670, 22. Novbr. Laurentius Rueckert mit Jungfer Magdalena Hr. Joh. Kaspar Franck, Pfarrers allhier Tochter, Hochzeit gehalten," schreibt das Kirchenbuch ( vgl. zu Franck Krauß 441 – 501 ). Dieser Laurenz Rueckert, Schwiegersohn des Pfr. Franck, ist offenbar identisch mit dem Laurenz Rueckert, welchem Heinrich Philipp von Heßberg auf Brünn, Stein u. f. w. in der Mitte des 17. Jahrhunderts die auf seinem Hofe zu Westhausen ruhende Gülte im Betrag von jährlich 40 Simmern Getreides Coburger Maß auf seine Lebenszeit verkauft hat ( f. Krauß a. a. O. S. 430 ), ein deutlicher Beweis, wie geachtet und wohlhabend L. R. war.
A Simmern is a German unit of measure used for grain and corn. It’s about 5 dry gallons, which is how a full bushel would feel like. I don’t know the measurement system of Coburg so I had to use the one for Stuttgart to figure out the weight of a Simmern ( 1 Simmern = .62 Imperial bushel = 5.12 American dry gallons ).
