  • Notes 
    • He wrote Klippers Römhildische Reimchronik (1634-50) which is an account of the Thirty Years War. It was written in a poetic form, with words that I find impossible to translate. First educated at the Ratschule in Hildburghausen. He was stuck ill in the pulpit in Haina and had to be carried out on 24 Feb 1667. He was replaced by appointment of the state church in Coburg by magister Werner Seld as the substitute pastor. Werner Seld made comments in the margins of Klipper's personal copy of the Römhildische Reimchronik.
