Ruth B. Langlotz, 87 of Prairie Home, Missouri passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at The Bluffs in Columbia, Missouri.
Visitation for Ruth will be Friday, February 12, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Prairie Home United Methodist Church. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Don Almond officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville. Arrangements under the direction of Howard Funeral Home.
Ruth B. Langlotz was born October 1, 1933 in California, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Simmons and Emma (Cram) Simmons. Ruth attended and graduated from California High School. She married William G. Langlotz October 5, 1952 in California, Missouri. She was a member of the Prairie Home United Methodist Church and a lifelong resident of Prairie Home Community. She worked at Wee Discount and Price Chopper (Dave’s Country Mart). Ruth enjoyed all of her children and grandchildren, crocheting, and socializing with her many friends. She loved going to her grandchildren’s events and attending the Prairie Home Fair. Ruth was also a fan of country music and loved dogs. She was loved and will be dearly missed.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband William Langlotz, parents, and siblings. She is survived by her daughter Patricia (Bernie) Kile of Hartsburg, Missouri, and son Larry (Brenda) Langlotz of California, MO., grandchildren Brad (Lora) Langlotz, Laura Small, Jennifer Kile, Amanda (Adam) Cantrell, Lesa (Taylor) Birdsong, Bernie (Lisa) Kile, Janiece (Steve) Hampe, and Bobby (Tina) Kile, 11 great grandchildren, 12 great- great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Prairie Home United Methodist Church.
