Notes - Elmer left Boonville around 1925 to work in the stock yards in East St Louis, Il. My Grandmother was a quite successful livestock dealer and feeder. His farm was a Prairie Lick. He was in business with his brother in laws - The Oswalds. When the livestock market crashed in the early 20's he lost everything. My father was sent to the stock yards in East St Louise where he worked and represtended the Oswalds. They were large shippers of beef. My grandfather and grandmother eventually moved to East St Louis to also live with my father. They dided there but were buried in Boonville.
