    Notes:

Hesilia FitzGilbert de Brione (also Helise, Helisia, Elise or Elisee and Hesilia Crispin, Hesilia De Brione) was the daughter of Gilbert de Brionne, Count of Eu, and great granddaughter of Richard I, Duke of Normandy. *It should be noted that 'Crispin' was her father's cognomen, nickname, and not actually part of the names of his children.

Married William Malet, Lord of Graville, probably about 1050.
May have been married prior to this to Baldric of Teuton.
William and Hesilia had 2 known children, possibly more:
    - Robert Malet (c 1050-1130) First Lord Great Chamberlain of England
    - Gilbert , founder of the Malets of Shepton Mallet in Somerset.

Hesilia's husband William Malet was part of the invasion force of William the Conqueror, who was Hesilia's 2nd cousin. After England was conquered, Malet was awarded vast properties there, and became the Honour of Eye and High Sheriff of Yorkshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. While still keeping their properties in Normandy, the family relocated to England.

In 1069 while living at the castle at York, Hesilia, William and their 2 children, were captured and held hostage by Dane raiders. After sacking the city, burning the castles to the ground and slaughtering the garrisons there, the Danes were eventually driven off and the family was freed.

William Malet died in 1071 and was succeeded by their oldest son Robert as Honour of Eye and High Sheriff or Norfolk and Suffolk. It is not known when Hesilia died.
