Christie McAtee McMenamy, 80, of St. Peters, died Tuesday (Nov. 24, 1998) at St. Peters Manor in St. Peters.

Mr. McMenamy was a retired self-employee truck driver.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Baue Funeral Home, 311 Wood Street, O'Fallon. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Catholic Church, 7 McMenamy Road, St. Peters. Burial will be at the church's cemetery.

Among survivors are his wife, Evelyn McMenamy of St. Peters; a daughter, Anita McClain of Wentzville; three sons, James C. McMenamy of Columbia, Mo., William K. McMenamy of St. Peters and Gerald V. McMenamy of Hazelwood; three brothers, Xavier McMenamy and Vincent McMenamy, both of St. Peters, and Bernard McMenamy of California; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was born on 9 Aug 1919 in St Peters, St Charles, Missouri, USA; died on 29 Dec 2008 in St Peters, St Charles, Missouri, USA; was buried after 29 Dec 2008 in All Saints Catholic Church Cemetery, St Peters, St Charles, Missouri, USA. Wife of the late Christopher McAtee McMenamy; daughter of the late Henry J. and the late Theresa Schulte; mother of Anita (Robert, Jr.) McClain, James C. (Pat) McMenamy, William K. (Pat) McMenamy, and Gerald (Jeanne) McMenamy; grandmother of 14; great-grandmother of 18. She was preceded in death by one sister, Bernice Wilke and two brothers, Vincent Schulte and Werner Schulte.

She was self-employed and retired after 50 years in the milk transportation industry. After retirement, she worked at Fort Zumwalt South High School in the cafeteria; many would remember her for hauling water for cisterns, swimming pools and fires. She was also a member of All Saints Catholic Church, St. Peters, MO.
