    In 1415 John Cole served directly under the King Henry V. of England in the Battle of The Hundred Years War. PLAC Battle of Agincourt, Sir John Cole, knight, was in the Retinue of the Duke of Gloucester, at the Battle of Agincourt on Friday, the XXVth day of October in the year of our Lord God, 1415, and in the Third year of the Reign of the most Excellent King Henry V." and it is probable that he received his spurs for his conduct on that glorious field.
